| Miska Hauser (1822 - 1887) was an Austro-Hungarian violin virtuoso and composer. Hauser's father, a well-known violinist and friend of Beethoven, awoke in his son's passion for the violin. His first musical education got Hauser in Bratislava at Josef Matalay. From 1835, he sat in Vienna continued his lessons in violin with Joseph Böhm and Josef Mayseder and studied composition with Conradin Kreutzer and Simon Sechter. Hauser wrote some small format Violonkompositionen of which hongroise Songs without Words for Violin and Rhapsody for Violin've popular. The peculiarity of his work was about the use of Hungarian rhythmic intonation peculiarities. |
