| Zhanna Metallidi was an accompanist and composer of incidental music at the Leningrad Drama Institute from 1959 to 1963. In 1960 she began teaching at a children's music school in Leningrad; as part of her work there she composed for performing ensembles. Her diverse repertory of children's music was used in Russian schools for years. In addition to her many compositions for children she composed for stage works, orchestras, chamber ensembles, and for choral groups. |
